Position Summary:
We are seeking an AV Project Engineer to lead on-site integration teams globally. You will deploy with the integration team to government and civilian sites worldwide, building AV/VTC systems. These systems include voice and video network hardware and software, media control systems (AMX / Crestron / Extron), DSPs, matrix mixers and switchers, codecs (Cisco/Tandberg/Polycom).

Responsibilities:

Site Work

  • The Project Engineer works directly with Project Management and Engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of all phases of the projects assigned.

  • Deploys globally as the Project Site Lead, performs as a working site supervisor, reporting to the assigned Project Manager.

  • Interprets designs and delegates daily objectives to the crew to meet WBS objectives.

  • Performs all (in-field project) management reporting.

  • Coordinates, receives, and inventories shipments. 

  • Performs as the primary customer contact.

  • Performs hands-on installation work and supervises crews.

  • Coordinates with the C3EL PM and on-site client technical staff for the provisioning of network and VTC systems.

  • Loads and troubleshoots control code, codec configurations, DSP configurations, Videowall controllers, and Video processors configurations.  

  • Coordinates the completion of as-builts.

  • Coordinates and performs system testing and closeout documentation.

 Project Development

  • Support the design and engineering processes to develop AV/VTC system packages.

  • Perform surveys, assisting with design efforts for AV/VTC systems, video walls, digital signage systems, layer 1 cabling, audio systems, and acoustic treatments.

  • Contributes to projects from the initial estimating phase through final inspections and commissioning.

  • Performs as a level 1 programmer. Loads complex code from senior programmers and can modify code in the field/PITCO based on senior programmer direction.

  • Effectively uses a debugger and communicates technical issues with the senior programmers by phone.

  • Develops DSP files and configures gain structure, configures AEC settings, performs audio tests locally, and with VTC distant end.

  • Executes statements of work by clearly understanding the scope and demark of project requirements and services provided by others.

  • Develops detailed daily reports.

  • Reviews and approves as-builts for release.

  • Supervises and supports/performs testing, documentation, and training.

Qualifications and Work Requirements:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with complex AV/VTC projects. 

  • Competent and capable communicator with MS Office Products. 

  • Has all the required tools and test equipment. 

  • Current DOD Clearance

  • CTS. CTS-I required 90 days from hire.

  • Barco, Samsung, Planar Installation Certifications.

  • Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Thinklogical, QSC, ClearOne, certifications required.
