Technical Proposal Writer 

Full Time - Tampa, FL

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop technical responses, proposals and documentation for audiovisual, network infrastructure, facilities, and other communications support efforts.

  • Develops and transmits requests for equipment and materials quotes, manages and tracks submissions and responses, correlates large volumes of lone item responses based on organizations objectives.

  • Prepares labor, travel and ODC quotes and estimates based on region, specific contract rates and state department guidelines.

  • Maintains and manages vendor pricing. Develops and maintains a database for all vendor price lists, coordinates strategic pricing based on volume. Provides reports on the current state of each vendor account.

  • Meets proposal deadline by estimating priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, and approval;  entering and monitoring tracking data; coordinating requirements with contributors; contributing proposal status information to review meetings; transmitting proposals.

  • Gathers proposal information by identifying sources of information; coordinating submissions and collections; identifying and communicating risks associated with proposals. 

  • Prepares presentation by evaluating text, graphics, and binding; coordinating printing. 

  • Maintains quality results by using templates; following proposal-writing standards including readability, consistency, and tone; maintaining proposal support databases.

  • Improves proposal-writing results by evaluating and re-designing processes, approach, coordination, and boilerplate; implementing changes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is preferred but not required.

  • We may consider AV experience or relevant proposal support experience in lieu of a degree.

  • Must have a basic understanding of federal acquisition regulations and contracting. 

  • Eligible to attain DoD Security Clearance.

  • 5 years' experience supporting corporate proposals. DoD contract or technical project support experience is a plus.

  • Expert level at all MS office products.

Clearance Requirement:

Secret eligible. No previous clearance required.

Travel:

Short-term domestic and International travel may be a possibility in some cases. Primary duty location in Tampa, FL.
