JOB DESCRIPTION:

                                                  
Serves as VTC / AV Engineer in classified and unclassified audio and video teleconferencing networks and systems, to include human/machine interface equipment (HMI). Provides engineering support to VTC and AV systems. This support includes activities throughout the lifecycle of the system (defining requirements, designing solutions, procurement of equipment, installing systems, operating systems in support of the end user, and troubleshooting any system failures.) Experience working independently without supervision in a fast-paced military environment is a must. Develops / identifies VTC and AV technical solutions responsive to the customer needs. Trains and supervises junior VIS technicians in support of VTC/AV systems. Recommends updates to procedures, policies, and technologies in support of the Combatant Command Headquarters’ VTC and AV challenges. Communicates with senior military leadership clearly and concisely both written and verbally. 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

3 years experience in the following areas:

Operating and maintaining VTC systems

Design of AV and VTC systems

Installation / programming of AV and VTC systems

Installation / programming of Crestron control systems
Providing technical services in a DoD environment

 

Required experience on the following equipment:


Telepresence multi party bridging (CODIAN MCU)

Cisco Meeting Server (CMS)

Cisco Telepresence Management Server (TMS)

Cisco Video Controller (VCS)
Codecs (Cisco C60, SX80, Webex or similar)
Crestron controller systems (2-Series, 3-Series)

BiAmp Systems (Audia, Tesira)
Desk Top VTC units (Cisco EX series or similar)

Video Wall Processors (Extron Quantum or similar)

 

 

Desired Experience:

Other Audio Visual equipment (Thinklogical systems, PLANAR video walls, or similar)

Digital Signage Systems

Cable / Satellite TV Systems (Dish Network)

Full Motion Video Systems

SQL

Visio (or similar)

 

Required Certification:

Security+ Certification is required prior to start

Desired Certification:

Crestron Certified Programmer

CTS

BiAmp TesiraFORTE & Tesira Server

Extron AV Associate

 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree preferred and 3 years of related work experience.  4+ years of related work experience may be substituted for education.
